Factors influencing project delivery system selection in the construction industry: A systematic literature review

چکیده :

Choosing an acceptable project delivery system (PDS) is a complex decision-making process involving numerous factors and risks. The owner and stakeholders frequently have little information during the selection, and the project plans need to be more precise to decide on the project with assurance of results. The criteria influencing the selection of PDS are collected and classified in this article to aid owners in selecting the proper PDS. To achieve this, a systematic literature review was conducted, and the criteria that earlier research used to choose PDS for construction projects were collected and categorized. Based on the study's findings, 97 criteria were extracted and categorized into six categories, which include: 1. Related schedule 2. Related cost 3. Project characteristics 4. Characteristics of owner and contractor 5. External project condition and 6. Project risks. This study can add to the body of knowledge in this area by contributing researchers, employers, and construction project stakeholders to the influencing criteria for choosing and categorizing PDS.
