The interaction of the construction industry with other industries can potentially create several challenges such as legal issues. As a consequence, empowering construction industry practitioners with legal information is one of the requirements in this industry. The importance of this topic in the construction industry is to such an extent that in developed countries, there is a considerable tendency to develop and apply the construction law and provide many graduates to the labor market annually.
Unfortunately, in Iran, this issue has been largely ignored and the construction industry has been in dire need of resolving the legal challenges. The 1st International Construction Law Conference (ICLC 2020), taking into account various necessities such as developing the concept of construction law in the country, raising the awareness of engineers and managers of their judicial responsibilities, familiarizing with the latest improvements in the field of construction law, and trying to make an effective step in the development of construction law in the country. This conference provides an appropriate opportunity to bring together experts and academics in this field. K. N. Toosi University of Technology (Est. 1928) Department of Civil Engineering, considered as one of the government-sponsored institutions of higher education and ranked in the 5% top universities in Iran, is responsible to organize this event.
